Etymology

Middle English endevour, from endeveren, to make an effort, from (putten) in dever, (to put oneself) in duty: in + dever, duty (from Old French deveir, devoir, duty).

This word was chosen for the countries name due to its 80's significance, which is, the name of the Space Shuttle that replaced the Challenger. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Shuttle_Challenger_disaster

History

Endeavour was born on February 22nd, 2008, and was originally called New Horizon. With the merger of New Horizon and TDF, the name changed to Endeavour.

Endeavour was one of the original signatories on the Coalition of Ordered Governments, but pulled out on March 27th, 2008.

Since the merger, Endeavour participated in two wars, Operation: Urgent Fury against GOLD, and Operation: Just Cause against GOONS.

Endeavour was attacked in the COG's: END War, fought along side with their GOONS allies and Unspeakable Evil.

Culture

Endeavour prides itself on 80's culture. From The A-Team, to St. Elsewhere, this country endeavors to bring 1980's culture to all of Planet Steve.
