Charter
Article 1:
This treaty serves as a mutual agreement between all signatories as further described in the following articles.
Article 2:
All signatories agree to remain diligent and reasonable with respect to the security of signing countries. It is expected members will not knowingly endanger the entire alliance by purposefully instigating the activation of this treaty. Signatories understand it is important to remember this is purely a defensive treaty.
Article 3:
The treaty defines defense as: Protection from acts of aggression.
Article 4:
“Acts of aggression” will be determined by a vote of the signatories, except in the case of direct military action against a signatory, in which case the vote is voided and the signatories are obligated to provide financial and military support. This exception is void if the signatory unilaterally instigated the conflict, and therefore a vote will be required.
Article 5:
As this defensive alliance will be considered mutual for all signatories, no one signatory is more important than another regardless of military, political, or economic strengths. Each signatory therefore has one collective vote, as determined by each sovereign government. Therefore a vote may be a representation of its member's votes, or the sole decision of its absolute leader.
Article 6:
If a signatory wishes to withdraw from the aforementioned alliance, 48 hours notice must be given. During this 48 hour period all signatories remain obligated to provide any and all support mandated by this treaty.
Article 7:
Amendments to the treaty text may be brought forward by any signatory and will be required to pass with a majority vote. In the event of a tie, the amendment is not passed. The process herein will also be used when considering new members of the treaty alliance.
