The “Lets Solve this MASZ” Protectorate Pact
Preamble.
The undersigned representatives of the Empire of Polaris and MASZ Kingdom agree that in all circumstances, unless any conditions outlined in Article 4 come into effect, that Polaris and MASZ will abide by the following pact as outlined in the articles below.
Article 1 – Goodwill
1.1 The undersigned will show respect and good will towards the member nations of each respective nation.
1.2 This will prohibit flaming, and flame baiting on the "The Mythical Land of which we do not speak" forums but will not restrict healthy debate or productive disagreement.
1.3 National leaders will be expected to alert the other organization party to this agreement should this article ever be infringed upon.
Article 2 – Espionage and Aid
2.1 The undersigned will not conduct espionage or aid in espionage against the opposite organization party to this agreement.
2.2 National leaders and representatives will be expected to alert the organization opposite to this agreement should espionage on either party be detected.
2.3 If either nation declares war on an ally of the Polaris or MASZ, this pact can be dissolved if a peaceful settlement cannot be reached.
Article 3 - Protection
3.1 The Empire of Polaris commits itself to the defense of the MASZ through direct military action as well as, though not limited to, financial and political means.
3.1.A. MASZ recognizes that the Empire of Polaris will probably never require military aid from MASZ, but in the event where it is needed, the Empire of Polaris simply need only ask, and everything available shall be at Polaris's disposal
Article 4 – Viceroyalty
4.1 MASZ hereby commits its entire being as a viceroyalty of Polaris and as such, hereby agrees to the following:
4.1.A Polaris will send a viceroy to the MASZ. MASZ is to mask this viceroy as an administrator of the MASZ forums and shall give said person privy to all MASZ governmental matters. This viceroy may be switched at any given point in time by the discretion of the Polar government.
4.1.B MASZ will not sign any treaties without the express permission of the Minister of Truth, the Imperial Liaison, the Imperial Regent, or the Emperor of Polaris. This includes any and all foreign agreements including, but is not limited to, military pacts, friendship pacts, neutrality pacts, mergers, surrender terms, and war.
Article 5
5.1 This pact may be canceled after 5 days notice, which must be received and discussed privately and in a diplomatic manner.
5.2 This pact may be canceled by any breach of this treaty.
5.3 This pact may be canceled once Polaris decides that MASZ is no longer in need of protection.
