Nordland Constitution

Preamble

The country of Nordland is founded upon the Nord-Germanic ideals of Honour, Courage, Justice, and Loyalty symbolized in the Odal Rune displayed on the Nordland flag and forums. Nordland’s goal is provide security, growth, and brotherhood for the cities within its boundaries and to promote friendships with likeminded foreign countries.

Article I:

Membership Any city wishing to join Nordland must request to join in-game and apply on the Nordland forums using the following form:

Nordland is a brotherhood and membership is a privilege not a right, as such the Kaiser and the Kurfürst of the Interior may reject any application for any reason.

Membership in Nordland is permanent unless the member decides to leave of its on accord or the member commits an act deemed unbecoming of a Nordlander (this includes spying, disobeying direct orders, excessive flaming, and attacking unauthorized targets) and is ejected. A Member is free to leave at any time for any reason except during times of war; should a member leave during a time of war that member will be deemed a deserter and will be dealt with accordingly. In order for a member to be ejected from Nordland, at least three members of the Nordland Council including the Kaiser must agree that the conduct of the member warrants ejection.

Article II:

The Nordland Council The Nordland Council is composed of five members and is the ruling body of Nordland. The Kaiser is the head of the country and has final say in all country matters. The Kaiser has the responsibility to appoint the four Kurfürsts and has the power with the approval of at least two other Kurfürsts of removing a Kurfürst. EuropaPrevails is the Kaiser at the time of the writing of the this charter and will remain so until such time as he chooses to set down and appointment a successor.

The four Kurfürsts will each head a Ministry in the country and will be appointed by the Kaiser. Each Kurfürst has the power to appoint assistants and officers within his own Ministry as he sees fit.

Article III:

Kurfürst of the Interior The Kurfürst of the Interior shall have the responsibility approving or denying the applications of perspective members both in-game and on the Nordland forums, of keeping records of the Nordland membership, and of general moderation of the Nordland forums.

Article IV:

Kurfürst of Economics The Kurfürst of Economics shall have the responsibility of composing economics guides for the country, assisting Nordland membership in building their cities’, and organizing any necessary aid transfers.

Article V:

Kurfürst of Defense The Kurfürst of Defense shall have the responsibility of composing military guides for the country, supervising the responses to rogues attacks on Nordland, and if necessary organizing the Nordland military should Nordland enter into an country war.

Article VI:

Kurfürst of Foreign Affairs The Kurfürst of Foreign Affairs shall have the responsibility of masking and demasking of foreign diplomats on the Nordland forums, creating and maintaining embassies on the Nordland forums, appointing and supervising Nordland diplomats to other countries, and running and/or assisting the Kaiser in treaty negotiations and diplomatic talks.

Article VII:

Amendments Any amendments to this charter must be approved by at least three Kurfürsts as well as the Kaiser.
