What is Private Messaging (PM)
One of the most useful features by far in the game is the Personal Message feature. Through this tool, you can communicate with the rest of your country members about upcoming events, or even to foreign cities to arrange trades, solve a conflict, talk about aid options, or virtually anything you can think of. People use private messaging for a number of important things game related since it is the easiest and fastest way to connect to another player
Limits on Private Messaging
As with all great things there are some limits on this feature. One of the most important limitations is the prohibited use of PMing for bulk mail. Bulk mail is most popularly viewed the following way (you cannot send more than 10 messages a day in the "spam" style):
Incorrect Use of PM System
- A nation wishes to boost its membership and starts sending out a standardized recruitment message to many cities through one main city. This city has sent over 30 cities this same message. This will most likely result in the city's banning due to an abuse of the in game PM feature.
Correct Use of PM System
- A nation has a recruitment message and starts sending out a standardized recruitment message to many cities through multiple cities in the nation. Each of these cities has sent no more than 10 PMs of this message to various cites, therefore avoiding the ban.
It is best however to limit the amount of times your nation sends out the same recruitment message as the admin could view this as spam and disband your country. Be creative!
