Despite what the country's name implies the people of The Barbarian Army are actually quite civilized. The Barbarian Army was formed in an attempt to civilize several groups of nomadic barbarians with some success. It is a fairly industrial nation that fully self sufficient and does not rely on foreign trade.
Government
The Barbarian Army is run by Emperor Philip of Sand_and_Glass. Although the government is totalitarian, it highly values its citizens opinions. The Barbarian Army also features a well written and heavily enforced charter that outlines many of the countries laws. The charter can be found here.
Country Improvements
Due to a fairly high federal tax rate of 5%, The Barbarian Army has a relatively large number of country improvements. Currently they have a Federal Health System, Federal Parks and Recreation, Federal Fire Service, and a Federal Police Service.
Timeline
August 1st - The Barbarian Army was formed.
August 20th - Philip signs the Iudicium of Festivitas III.
August 21st - The Barbarian Army joins the Second World War.
August 25th - The Barbarian Army surrenders to the axis thus ending their part in the Second World War.
September 6th - HVS withdraws from the Iudicium of Festivitas III officially ending the alliance.
September 15th - Philip officially orders the cities of The Barbarian Army to attack Greece in response to attacks against Sand and Glass.
September 19th - The Barbarian Army adopts a new flag.
