The We All Like Ships Treaty
Preamble:
The East India Company and Federation because of the same interests and same Origin, hereby sign this Treaty to protect the Federation from threats.
Article I: Friendship and Non-Aggression
The member nations of both signatories, being of like heart and mind, agree to a state of non-aggression. Both The VOC and Federation shall show respect at all times, which includes, but is not limited to: forums, IRC and Instant messaging. No member of either signatory may engage in hostile actions against the other. This includes, but is not limited to, in-game attacks. Nations who violate this term will be required to send reparations for damages done. Refusal to comply with non-aggression orders will result in harsh action, and they will face possible expulsion.
Article II: Intelligence
By recognizing the flow of Information that passes the game daily both Signatories ensure that all Intelligence that can violate the Sovereignty will be passed to the Government of the Signatory that is in danger. Failure to do this will result in an immediate end of this treaty.
Article III: Trade and Aid
To let the economies of both the VOC and Federation grow both Signatories will cooperate with anything to help it grow this includes but is not limited to aiding or trading with any member of the Other alliance. None of the Signatories is allowed to aid or trade with an enemy of another Signatory during War.
Article IV: Protection
In case of an attack against the Federation from a 3rd party the VOC will immediately help the Federation by all means possible. In case of an attack by a 3rd party against the VOC the Federation isn’t forced to provide Military aid but are recommended to do so if they can.
Article V: Conditions
The Federation isn’t allowed to sign a MDP or higher with another alliance unless allowed to by the VOC. This Condition doesn’t count for the VOC they can sign any treaty without discussing it with the Federation
Article VI:Forums/Private Irc Chanels
Every Signatory has the duty to provide the Government members of the other access to restricted parts of the forums and IRC. In case of the VOC they will get access rights to all Forums at the Federation including the Government forums and IRC. In case of the federation they will only get normal member access to the VOC forums and access to a Private IRC Chanel.
Article VII: Ending the Protectorate
The protectorate will automatically end if the Federation reaches 25 members or 25,000 Strength and will be changed to a MDP or higher which can be discussed at that point.
If both Signatories wish to end this treaty before the Federation reaches the point in which it automatically ends a meeting between both Governments will be held to discuss how to go further with the Relations.
