Peace, Intelligence, Defense and Aid Treaties (often referred to as PIDAT) is a type of inter-alliance treaty wherein the signatory alliances agree to peaceful coexistence, share intelligence as necessary, encouraged but not required to come to the defense of the other country and and to provide aid under certain circumstances.
